How Renewal Works

Every website has ongoing costs to stay online, secure and up to date. These include:

• Domain registration – The unique address (e.g., yourwebsite.com).
• Hosting – The space where your website files are stored online.
• Email server space – If you have a professional email (e.g., name@yourwebsite.co.uk), it requires storage on the server. The more emails and attachments you store, the more space you need.
• Security & Monitoring – Protection against hacks, malware, and data loss.
• Server space – Websites grow over time, and additional content, images and emails increase the storage needed.
• Website themes & plugins – Software that adds features and functionality to your website.
• Management & updates – Regular monitoring, software updates, content edits and technical fixes.

These are third-party costs that must be paid annually or monthly. My care packages bundle these essential services into one simple renewal fee, so your website and emails remain live, secure, and maintained.

Email Storage & Server Space

• Your email accounts share space with your website hosting.
• If you store too many emails or large attachments, your website and email performance may slow down.
• If you reach your storage limit, you can delete old emails or upgrade your storage for an additional fee.
• If you use Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace for email, your emails are stored separately and do not affect your website storage.

Your Renewal Responsibilities

• Your Care Package must be renewed before the anniversary of your website launch to avoid downtime.
• If your website launched on 1st January 2025, renewal payment is due 7 days before 1st January 2026.
• Payments can be made monthly or annually, but renewal is mandatory to keep your website and email services active.
