A Vibrant, Functional Hub for Guiding Activities
Launched in January 2023, Girlguiding Lancashire Border’s website offers an engaging, resourceful platform that keeps the guiding community informed and connected. Here’s how we brought their vision to life:
- WordPress with Divi for Brand Consistency: Built on WordPress using the Divi theme, the website aligns with the national Girlguiding branding, ensuring a cohesive look and feel while meeting the specific needs of this division.
- Unit Locator for Brownies, Guides, Rangers, and Rainbows: We designed a unit locator tool that helps parents and prospective members find their nearest unit, making it easy to join the group that’s right for them.
- Showcase for Volunteers and Events: The site features a dedicated area to highlight the incredible volunteers who run each unit, along with an events section where the public and members can buy tickets, sign up for training, or book venues like Height Nook and Headquarters for special events.
- Integrated Email and Member Login: We provided email addresses on the server, allowing members to log in directly from the website for ease of communication and resource access.
- Blog Area for News and Updates: To keep the community engaged, we added a blog section where the latest news, updates, and achievements are shared with members and the public.
- Continuous Updates and Support: We provide ongoing updates and technology advancements for the site, ensuring it grows and evolves with the organisation’s needs. This includes training sessions for staff and volunteers, as well as server management for a secure, reliable online experience.
